For eradication of unemployment & providing skill development activities, District Development Commissioner Shopian, G. M. Dar today chaired district level Rural Self Employment Training Institutes (RSETI) Advisory Committee meeting at Shopian.Director RSETI gave a detailed presentation of achievements and targets of financial year 2014-15 and 2015-16 respectively. It was stated that during the previous quarter 04 training courses have been completed, with 114 beneficiaries in dress designing and zari embroidery activities. Total 29 beneficiaries have been credit linked, 71 have started their own self investment.While speaking on the occasion, District Development Commissioner stressed on broadening the activities by incorporating fruit grading, tourist guides, hotel management, mushroom growth like practically demanding skills. He further said that unemployed youth should be targeted and provided good skills so that they can start their earning as well as become a source of employment for other youth of the district. The District Development Commissioner praised the officials of the RSETI and directed them to keep the good work in the same way.
