Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Bashir Ahmad Khan alongwith a team of officers today visited various areas of Anantnag to take stock of the situation arising out of recent incessant rains. The Deputy Commissioner visited Batengoo, Shamsipora, Muniward, Dantar, Mir Bazar, Sadoora, Qazigund, Dooru, Larkipora and other areas.The Deputy Commissioner on spot directed the officers to restore the damaged road connectivity and water supply schemes besides power supply. He also directed for repairment of damaged bunds of nallahs and rivers, so that these are made flood proof. He also directed the concerned to work with close coordination, so that the early restoration of affected infrastructure is restored at an earliest.Many public deputations also met the Deputy Commissioner and put forth their demands with regard to power, water and road connectivity and Deputy Commissioner assured them that their grievances will be redressed in coming days.
