In order to discuss Shri Amarnathji Yatra arrangements which is scheduled to commence from 2nd July ,District Development Commissioner, Kathua Ajay Singh Jamwal convened a meeting of Officers and prominent citizens here today.DC Commericial Taxes Toll Post Lakhanpur Rajesh Sharma, Assistant Commissioner (Revenue) Atul Gupta, SDM hiranagar, CPO Kathua, XEN PHE, CEO, Kathua, RTO Kathua, Executive officers MC Lakhanpur & Kathua, Tehsildar, Kathua CMO, Kathua attended the meeting.During the meeting threadbare discussions were held regarding the necessary arrangements regarding boarding and lodging, provision for safe drinking water, temporary toilets, uninterrupted power supply and security at the langar and other sites during the Yatra.DDC directed the Police department to make fool proof arrangement at Lakhanpur & other langar sites.Traffic police was directed to affix stickers on Yatra vehicle at Lakhanpur. Fire services was directed to keep fire tender ready during yatra .
DDC directed health Department to depute teams at Lakahanpur and Langar sites. The municipalities of Kathua and Lakhanpur were asked to ensure proper hygiene and sanitation at important installations. CMO Kathua informed the chair that the team of doctors will be available at Lakahanpur to issue medical certificates and said that provision for the issuance of Medical Certificates will be made at all the Community Health Centers (CHC).
DDC also reviewed the contingency plan chalked out to cater needs of the Yatris in case of any halt in the Yatra. He called upon the departments to make their stand by measures ready like water tankers and generator sets at Lakahanpur and Langar sites. He impressed upon the departments to work with coordination and zeal to make Yatra comfortable and memorable for the Yatris.Later DDC also held a meeting of officers to review the Ramzan arrangements.DDC passed directions to PDD, PHE departments to ensure round the clock drinking water and power supply at Main Masjid Kathua. Municipality department was directed to maintain sanitation near Masjid area during Ramzan month.
