District Development Commissioner Ramban F. A Shah Bukhari today chaired a meeting of the Task Force constituted to monitor the implementation of Mission Indradhanush.All the members of the committee consisting of CMO, Dy CMO, PO-ICDS and District Information Officer Ramban were present in the meeting.CMO informed that , three cycles of vaccination have already been completed in the district covering the unvaccinated children. During the first cycle 334 children were immunized similarly during 2nd cycle and 3rd cycle, 593 and 2772 children were administered vaccines respectively under the Indradhanush mission in various health institutions of the district.
It is pertinent to mention here that under Indradhanush mission, the missed out or unvaccinated children are administered seven important vaccinations of Polio, DPT, Pentavalent, Hepatitis BCG, Measles and Tetanus by a group of functionaries consisting of a FMPHW, ASHA worker, Anganwadi worker and a helper.Chairman informed that the fourth round of Indradhanush shall be observed and held from, 7 July to 14 July, 2015. He appealed the people of the district to bring their children to the nearest health institution in their locality for vaccinations.
