The Vidyamandir Classes organized its annual event ‘Udhgosh-15’, here at Jammu Club.Minister of State for Education, Culture and Information Priya Sethi was the chief guest and senior leader Yudhvir Sethi was the guest of honor on the occasion.The function was organised by the Vidyamandir Classes (VMC) to felicitate and honor the toppers of NTSE, JEE (Mains/Advanced), JKCET and Board examinations.Priya and Yudhvir Sethi felicitated students of VMC, who excelled in different exams, including Shuvang Jandiyal JKCET RANK 1, Prateek Kaul JKCET RANK 2, Sahildeep Singh Raina  JKCET RANK 4 and Susheem Koul JKCET RANK 5.Underlining commitment of the government to promote modern education in the state, the Minister said students today have to face tough competitions and right guidance and support can prepare them for facing state and national level examinations. She said the government is committed to provide all required human resource and infrastructure in government institutes.

 “We have best team of teachers and in the recent board examinations government run schools have shown good results proving that with proper guidance and support government run schools can give results at par with private institutions,” she said.Felicitating the students, Yudhvir Sethi said children of the state are rich in talent and with right professional teaching they can excel in any examination. He said private institutions are playing good role in providing expert coaching and such institutions should also adopt economically weaker students for providing coaching, adding that talented students who cannot afford coaching should be enrolled on nominal fees.

“We are proud of our children who have excelled in various fields and talent in any form may it be sports, education, music or dance,” he said.On the occasion, students displayed their talent in extra-curricular activities. NTSE state topper Mitashini Koul performed classical dance and Prateek Koul played electric guitar.Director VMC Delhi Sanjeev Verma and Director VMC Jammu Amit Langar also awarded students who secured good position in these prestigious exams.
