As part of police raising day week celebrations underway throughout the State from June 12th, the Cultural Wing of Information Department on Thursday evening organised a colourful cultural programme ‘Sham-e-Gazal’ at Armed Police Complex in Channi Himmat. Commandant IRP-IV Battalion, Channi Himmat Mrs. Rashmi Wazir was the Chief Guest. The variety show was organised under the supervision of Cultural Officer Department of Information and Public Relations Raman Joshi in which senior officers from police department and police families in large numbers were present and enjoyed the 2-hour long Sham-e-Gazal programme with full joy. The audience highly applauded the show. Speaking on the occasion, Mrs. Wazir highlighted the role of officers and jawans of the police force and stressed on the need for good police-public relations by facilitating general public in building healthy and crime free society.
She asked the Information Department to arrange such type of events in future also for providing healthy environment to the police personnel and their families.Later, the artists of Cultural Wing of Department of Information and Public Relations also organised a cultural-cum-variety show in the premises of Panchayat Ghar at Kupper Pargalta (Chak) in Dansal block.
Hundreds of people of Dansal block witnessed the 2-hour long programme.The people of the area thanked the Information Department for organising such a wonderful cultural programme in the Panchayat Ghar at Kupper Pargalta (Chak) in Dansal block. They said such type of programmes not only provide moments of enjoyment but also educate the people about rich culture and heritage of the State.The artists of Cultural Wing of Information Department who presented colourful cultural items in both the shows included Jeevan Sharma, Vijay Anand, Bunty Kumar, Bodh Raj, Palvi Koul, Amit Anand, and Kamal Kumar.
