Arvind Kejriwal seeks Venkaiah Naidu's help for Delhi projects

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Thursday met union Urban Development Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu and asked for his support for development projects.Kejriwal, who was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, sought the union government's support for providing land for education, health and transport projects."The chief minister requested Naidu to provide land to the Delhi government to start various development projects like construction of bus depots, schools, and hospitals in the national capital," a Delhi government official told IANS.

"Naidu was supportive and assured to extend his possible support," the official said.To strengthen public transport system in the national capital, the Delhi government has planned to introduce 10,000 buses on various city routes."To introduce new buses we will have to construct more bus depots in the city. So we need central government's help in procuring land," the official said.At present there are 59 bus depots in Delhi.
