Religious fervor overflowed at Sri Anandpur Sahib as a sea of pilgrims from across the globe converged here to have a date with historic occasion.For ferrying the pilgrims, a special train, from Delhi to Sri Anandpur Sahib, has also been scheduled, which would reach this holy city on June 19.Manjit Singh, Station Superintendent, Sri Anandpur Sahib Railway Station informed that a special train to ferry the pilgrims would start from Delhi at 11 pm on June 18 and would be reaching Sri Anandpur Sahib at 8:45 am on June 19. He informed that this special train would be ferrying thousands of pilgrims from different parts of the country.
Sri Anandpur Sahib is celebrating its 350th Foundation Day in a grand manner. The celebrations started from Gurudwara Bhora Sahib today.Today, Mata Nanki Gurmat Samagamin the main pandal was organized while aspecially crafted 81 feet high Khanda Sahib was dedicated to the public in the Panj Piara Park. A large number of pilgrims, especially women, participated in the Samagam which was organized by the Istri Akali Dal.A total of 16 temporary dispensaries have been set up in Sri Anandpur Sahib for the pilgrims and a medical officer and an ambulance have been deputed in each of these dispensaries.The Darshan Didar Yatra started on May 6 from Gurudwara Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib in Patiala and after passing through all the districts of state will culminate at Sri Anandpur Sahib tomorrow. The yatra carries relics of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib, Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib and Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji displayed in a specially crafted 33 feet long bus.
