BJP Sharnarthi Cell activists sitting on 24 hours hunger strike to commemorate “Balidan pas”, ended their hunger strike with juice offered by BJP State President & MLA Jugal Kishore Sharma, on Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the presence of State General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Kaul, State Cells Prabhari Sat Sharma (C.A) to Sharnarthi Cell Prabhari Pt. Ashok Khajuria and Convenor Vijay Sharma, office bearers of Satwari Mandal and several others. To recall, Shararthi cell activists were sitting on 24 hours hunger strike since yesterday at Satwari Chowk to commemorate thousands of martyrs killed due to partition of the country in 1947, 1965, 1971.

On the occasion, Jugal Kishore Sharma sympathizing with the refugees of 1947, 1965 and 1971, lambasted the state government for ignoring the respective demands of refugees who even after 66 years of partition, are denied of their legitimate fundamental rights while the state government is more considerate to the terrorists from the neighboring state. He added that if BJP comes to power in majority, interests of refugees will remain the concern of the party.

Ashok Kaul, too, reiterated the apathetic condition of the lakhs of refugees who are deprived of their long pending demands in general and citizenship rights never seen anywhere else in the country.

Sat Sharma (C.A), addressing the gathering over there appealed before them to remain united over the issue and not to be misled by the false assurances of the ruling coalition partners who have not made any effort to address their grievances so far.Besides, Pt. Ashok Kumar Khajuria, BJYM State President Ravinder Raina, Rudhramani Sharma, Indu Bhushan, Pitamber Sharma, Harbans Choudhary, Rajiv Charak, Vikram Randhawa also addressed a gathering of about hundreds people.
