Additional Deputy Commissioner, Imam Din, today convened a meeting of officers and representatives of various social and religious associations to discuss arrangements being put in place for holy month of Ramzan.The ADC held threadbare discussion with the representatives who apprised him of their demands related to uninterrupted water and power supply, proper sanitation, market checking, affordable supply of essential commodities, traffic management, adequate supply of food items, fruits, vegetables, mutton and chicken.
ADC directed Municipality to speed up sanitation works and ensure cleanliness around Mosques besides asking CA&PD to strengthen enforcement drives to maintain proper check on quality of edibles and rates of essential commodities. He directed Tehsildar to intensify the surprise checking drives to ensure quality eatables at reasonable rates.He asked PDD to ensure uninterrupted power supply especially during Sehri and Iftar.He directed EO Municipality to restore the protection wall at Eidgah Doda where the Eid-ul-Fitr prayers will be held.
