Hurriyat (G) chairman Syed Ali Geelani said that from 1931, the Sopore town has proven as a strong fort of the freedom struggle of Kashmir and now the secret agencies under a planned manner want to divide and weaken this fort.He also expressed his deep concern and anguish over the reports that the residents of the Sopore are issued threats and warnings in the posters with different names.In a statement to KNS, Syed Ali Geelani said that “ISIS” and “TTP (Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan)” like organizations are nonexistent in Jammu & Kashmir and these names are used in a well planned scheme and its only purpose is to name the just and genuine freedom struggle of Kashmiries as terrorism and to prove the Kashmiries as cruel instead of oppressed. He said that the conscious people of Sopore have every time stood bravely against the oppressors and autocracy and they have paid precious and invaluable sacrifices.
They were at the forefront of the resistance movement against the Dogra autocratic rule and after that these people played a key role in the plebiscite movement. In the present phase of the freedom struggle, the India forces although tried a lot to break the resolve of the Sopore people but they miserably failed in that and could not weaken their stand regarding this struggle.Syed Ali Geelani said that whether it is the figures of the sacrifices or the matter of the election boycott, Sopore has set an example and it has become a role model for the freedom lovers.
Hurriyat chairman said that the Sopore area has always been the matter of concern for the policy makers of India so, this time they have hatched a deep conspiracy against this region and they want to terrify the people with the fake organizations and want to spread anarchy here. While commenting over the threat posters in the Sopore town, Syed Ali Geelani said that these posters although issue dictations under the grab of Islam and the Shariah but a simple Muslim also know this fact that Islam has neither spread with the help of force in the past nor is it possible to change the ideologies of the people by power in future also. Islam has always used the moral behavior and excellent character to win the hearts and minds of the people. While expressing his sorrow and surprise over the threat warnings to the people related to the telecommunication, cable network and other professions, Syed Ali Geelani said that everything has good and bad aspects and it is up to the discretion of the person that how will he use that thing. Some people watch moral and Islamic shows and channels on the TV and some do contrary to that. He said that it is not only the matter of the mobiles and TVs but every object which has been created by the Almighty Allah has its advantages and limitations.
The life is not possible without the Air, fire and water but sometimes these lifesaving tools cause heavy destruction and become the reason for the loss of precious human lives.Syed Ali Geelani said that whole Kashmiri nation including the people of Sopore from very long time are facing the worst kind of autocratic rule of India and no sincere Mujahid will become the reason for the increase in their miseries and nor will he try to snatch the livelihood from the poor section of the society. The threat posters have affected the business of a large section of the society so, we are rightful to understand that the Indian secret agencies are directly or indirectly involved into all these processes and they want to punish the people of Sopore for their deep affiliation with the freedom struggle of Kashmir.
