Customs officials at Dabolim international airport in Goa seized gold worth Rs.2.15 crore on Thursday.The seizure was made from a Karnataka resident, Sajid Ahmed, who had arrived on a Dubai-Goa flight on Thursday morning. A customs spokesperson said that the passenger, from whom the 7.7 kilograms of gold was seized, is a resident of Bhatkal village in Karnataka."After initial questioning, the accused had revealed that the gold was handed over to him in Dubai by one Salim for smuggling into Goa for a price," the spokesperson said.
