Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary today reviewed the preparedness of State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) teams for the upcoming Amarnath Yatra. The DC, who is also Controller Civil Defence visited the Civil Defence Office Complex and enquired SDRF teams about their preparedness for the Yatra .The DC enquired from the personnel about the rescue equipments and other requirements they need during any eventuality. He instructed the Deputy Controller Civil Defence, Mr. Bodh Raj to remain in readiness to handle any kind of situation during the upcoming Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra.Deputy Controller, Civil Defence, Mr. Bodh Raj gave detailed account of arrangements made in view of yatra and said that SDRF teams along with Civil Defence volunteers were given necessary instructions to be ready to meet any emergency.
