He directed Animal Husbandry, Agriculture and Industries Departments to work in close coordination towards making Manigam  “White Maingam” as the village has huge potential for milk production. The MP directed the Horticulture department to launch pilot projects on grapes and cherries and include the inputs of the village community in such projects. The authorities of JKEDA were directed to electrify the whole village by using LED lamps.Speaking on the occasion, Mr Karra said SAGY is a rural development program broadly focused on development of the villages and to uplift the living standards of the people by utilizing MPLAD funds. He hoped that all the officers would join him in achieving the goal of converting Manigam into a role model village. He asked the concerned officers to work collectively to ensure affective implementation of the scheme and generate awareness among the people so that they can avail benefits of the scheme.Pertinently, SAGY is a rural development programme broadly focusing upon the development in the villages which includes social development, cultural development and spreading motivation among the people on social mobilization of the village community. Under this scheme, each Member Parliament needs to choose one village each from the constituency that they represent, fix parameters and make it a model village by 2016.          DDC Ganderbal Showkat Aijaz Bhat, ACR Ganderbal Naseer Ahmad Wani and all district officers were present in the meeting.
