Cleanse and condition your hair well, use the right tools and protect it from heat, humidity and pollution for a healthy shine on your mane.Daniel Bauer, TRESemmé hair stylist, shares some easy tips to prepare your hair for the season.

* Cleansing 

We often end up with various hair problems during the summer - things like hairfall and dandruff are common occurrences due to the build up of dirt and pollution on our scalp.A dirty scalp tends to get really oily and will make our hair feel heavy and unflattering. Therefore, it is important to wash our hair more often in the summer.Use the Hair Spa Rejuvenation shampoo two to three times a week. * Protect those tresses while swimming 

There is no better feeling than taking a dip into cool water during the scorching summer heat.The pool water is usually loaded with chlorine and other chemicals that can cause damage to the hair. While you may feel good, you will notice that your hair gets frizzy.When you are in the pool, ensure that you cover up with a swimming cap.After swim, care is also really important so ensure that you wash and condition your hair with moisturizing hair products.

* Stay healthy

It’s not only about what you put on your hair that matters, but also what you put inside your body.Maintain a diet that is rich in Vitamins, Iron and Zinc that help in preventing your hair from becoming dull, thin and dry.Indulge in different kinds of berries and fruits like kiwis, oranges and papaya, while also gorging on all things green. Spinach and other leafy vegetables are really high in Iron content and can do wonders for your hair.Don’t forget to include a wide variety of nuts in your diet as they act as superfoods for your hair. They are rich in Vitamin E which boosts blood circulation to the scalp and keeps the hair follicles healthy.
