District Level Review cum Consultative Committee meeting was held at Administrative Complex Pulwama today under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Mr. Niraj Kumar.All the officers of allied departments and Managers of financial Institutions and Joint Director Planning were also present in the meeting.The Lead Bank Manager briefed the meeting about the achievements of banks under annual action plan upto ending of March 2015.He informed the meeting that against the financial target of Rs. 903.75 crores and fiscal target of 41562 beneficiaries fixed for priority and non priority sectors in the annual action plan 2014-15, the banks have disbursed an amount of Rs. 659.45 crores to 22281 beneficiaries upto ending March 2015
It was told in the meeting that in agriculture and horticulture sector the most preferred sectors have to deploy credit. Total lending of all banks in the district has been Rs. 263.04 crore against the target of Rs. 415.15 crore.Under the Education sector, it was told in the meeting that Rs. 2.11 crores were disbursed to 196 beneficiaries against the target of Rs. 19.60 crores to 367 beneficiaries.Speaking on the occasion the District Development Commissioner stressed upon the officers to gear up the machinery for close coordination and work with dedication so that the target is achieved in full and better economic prospects can also be achieved.
