Harchowal/ Sri Hargobindpur , 26 May 2015

In Riarki area if Sri Hargobindpur constituency the Dharmik Darshan Yatra was accorded a warm welcome on its arrival. Located along the river Beas, the Riarki residents eagerly awaited yatra and had been making arrangements for yatra’s arrival for the past couple of days. Today afternoon when the Dharmik Darshan Yatra reached village Harchowal, the area MLA and CPS Desraj Singh Dhugga led the devotees who welcomed yatra. Devotees paid floral tributes to the Panj Piaras, yatra and the relics. Similarly, the yatra passed through villages of Bham, Khokharwal, lights chowk and other areas. In the form of nagar kirtan, the yatra drew thousands of devotees wherever it went. Cold water chhabeel and langars marked the yatra route.

Earlier at Sri Hargobindpur’s historical Gurudwara Damdama Sahib the yatra had halted giving darshan to the devotees. People from nearby villages thronged the Gurudwara in tractors-trolleys and other vehicles making a beeline. After performing ardas at 8:30 am the yatra left from Sri Hargobindpur for its next destination towards Gururdwara Chhota Ghallughara. The former minister Jathedar Sucha Singh Langah, CPS Desraj Singh Dhugga, SGPC member Jathedar Kashmir Singh Bariar, chairman Sukhbir Singh Wahla, SDM Batala Jaspal Singh and others accompanied the yatra.
