To review the arrangements put in place for smooth conduct of Mela Kheer Bhawani, Member Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra today conducted a tour of the shrine along with Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Showkat Aijaz Bhat and senior officials of the district administration.Karra went around the shrine complex and took stock of the arrangements being made by the administration for the pilgrims on the occasion.He directed the concerned authorities to ensure proper cleanliness in and around the shrine complex.Thousands of Kashmiri Pandits are expected to pay obeisance at the temple on May 26, 2015.

The MP interacted with various groups of Kashmiri Pandits and other devotees who had arrived here to pay obeisance at the temple complex.Speaking on the occasion, the MP said the Government is keen to see dignified return of Kashmiri Pundits to their native land as Kashmir is incomplete without them. “Festivals give us opportunities to promote and strengthen the communal harmony and ethos which is the strength of our country,” he said.
