The Darshan Didar Yatra, a unique initiative of the Punjab Government and Shiromani Gurudwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) for the darshan of the relics of three Sikh Guru's today proceeded towards its next destination from Gurudwara Janam Asthan Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji, Pahuwind at 9 am today. A sea of devotees were present when the yatra proceeded towards Tarn Taran.After halt for night at Gurudwara Janam Asthan Shaheed Baba Deep Singh Ji, Pahuwind, the Darshan Didar Yatra proceeded towards its next destination in the presence of Giani Jaswinder Singh Ji, head granthi, Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar, Baba Avtar Singh Ji Sursingh Wale, Prof Virsa Singh Valtoha, chief parliamentary secretary, Bhai Manjit Singh, former chairman PEDA and member SGPC, Mr Balwinder Singh Dhaliwal, Deputy Commissioner, Mr Manmohan Kumar Sharma SSP, Mr Bakhtawar Singh ADC, Mr Angrej Singh Hundal DTO, Mr Amarjit Singh Pahuwind, Sarpanch, besides several others.

Giani Jaswinder Singh Ji head granthi performed Ardaas as the Darshan Didar Yatra proceeded towards Tarn Taran. The yatra was led by Panj Piara's. While addressing the gathering, Prof Virsa Singh Valtoha lauded the efforts of Punjab government and SGPC for starting this yatra, which would educate the youth about our religion, history and legacy. He said that the yatra carries relics of Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib, Sri Guru Teg Bahadar Sahib and Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji displayed in a specially crafted 33 feet long bus.Prof Valtoha informed that the yatra was started on May 6 from Sri Dukhniwaran Sahib Gurudwara in Patiala and after passing through all the districts of state will culminate at Sri Anandpur Sahib. Lakhs of people assembled at Sri Muktsar Sahib paying obeisance to the gurus and became part of the historical event. On May 19, the yatra would pass through Bhikhiwind, Singhpura, Sursingh, Chhichrewal, Gaggobuha, Panjwar and reach Jhabal. From here, it would move towards Kot Dharam Chand, Noordi, Gurudwara Baba Bota Singh, Baba Garja Singh, Jhabal-Amritsar Byepass in Tarn Taran, and reach Sri Darbar Sahib sran Sri Guru Arjun Dev Niwas, Tarn Taran. After halting at night in Tarn Taran, the yatra, on May 20, would reach Khadoor Sahib after passing through village Bachhre, Sanghe, Naurangabad, Rashiana, Sherchak, Veyipui Mor. From Khadoor Sahib, it would proceed towards its next destination after passing through Nagoke Mor, Kotli Saru Khan, Dhota, Sarli, Takhtuchak, and other villages.
