The second session of the Civil Services coaching in Mahatma Gandhi State Institute of Public Administration, Punjab (MGSIPAP) kicks off today with the inaugural address by  Rajan Kashyap, former Chief Secretary of Punjab. About 40 students from different parts of the region including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and (U.T,) Chandigarh have enrolled themselves for 5-months training in Civil Services in this institute. Addressing the aspirants of Civil Services,  Rajan Kashyap exhorted them to utilize their talent and potential to the maximum for achieving the goal of entry into the superior most services of the country. He said that it is not very difficult to qualify the examination, the only thing the candidates needs is commitment, self confidence, determination and strong will to achieve the goal. He emphasized that time management is very essential factor for clearing the examination. Alongwith studies, the students must also equally relax their brains nerves by devoting time to sports, entertainment and extracurricular activities. He said that selection of subjects is very important and the students must select subjects of their choice which involves interest, expertise and competence in the subject. He shared his experiences as a student for preparing to IAS and gave them tips for attempting the question papers in the examination hall. Dr. J.C. Verma, Coordinator, Civil Services Coaching Centre welcomed the students for this session and assured them all help, guidance, support for achieving the goal for entry into Civil Services.Col. (Retd.) B.M. Sabhlok, faculty MGSIPAP also motivated the students with his professional skills with focus on personality development and inculcation of faith and confidence to surmount the obstacles to achieve the goal.
