No vendetta, no personal attack, only development agenda-Sukhbir

files nomination papers from Jalalabad

Shiromani Akali Dal President Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal today filed his nomination papers as the party candidate from the Jalalabad assembly seat in Punjab's border district of Ferozepur. Accompanied by his wife and MP Harsimrat Kaur and MP Sher Singh Ghubhaya, Mr. Badal filed nomination papers in the office of Sub-pisional Magistrate Mr. Rajiv Gupta. Mrs. Krishna Rani wife of Member Parliament Sher Singh Ghubhaya filed her papers as covering candidate of SAD-BJP alliance.

Replying to the media queries after filing nomination papers, Mr. Badal said that Akali Dal-BJP alliance has been contesting the elections over development issues only and there would be no vendetta politics or personal attacks. He said that alliance would gain clean sweep victory as people of Punjab want continuation of accelerated development, they would vote to SAD-BJP Government for next five years so that alliance could complete the unfinished task of development besides continuing the development agenda for Punjab.

Commenting on the rebel in the Congress party, Akali President said that this revolt gave birth to a fifth front named ‘Azad Congress’ in addition to existing SAD-BJP alliance, Congress, Sanjha Morcha and BSP. He said that Congress party was facing rebellion on more than 38 seats and most of these rebellions had already announced to contest as independent candidates.

Later addressing massive gathering after inaugurating his election campaign office here, Mr. Badal appealed to the people of Punjab to vote for performance. He said that voters of the state must see what the Congress did during its regime and compare it what SAD-BJP alliance had done. Mr. Badal said that he was fully confident that voters of Jalalabad would ensure his victory with a margin more than 1.25 Lakh votes.

Prominent amongst others Mr. Harpreet Singh Brar, President SAD Legal Cell, Mr. Nirbjeet Singh Dhanoa, Mr. Parmjit Singh Sidhwan, MD Fazilka Central Co-Operative Bank, Mr. Gurpal Singh Garewal, President Muncipal Committee Jalalabad, Mr. Raj Chauhan, Chairman Market Committee Jalalabad, Mr. Davinder Singh Babble and Mr. General Secretary SAD Legal Cell, Mr. Rajiv Pasricha were also present on the occasion.
