Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal today expressed profound grief and sorrow over the sad and untimely demise of the former BJP MLA Mr. Harish Bedi (56), who passed away at a private hospital in Ludhiana after a massive cardiac arrest this morning. He is survived by wife, two sons and a daughter. In a condolence message, the Chief Minister described Mr. Bedi as a disciplined soldier of BJP who worked relentlessly for the upliftment of the disadvantaged sections of the society, besides ensuring over all development in the industrial town of Ludhiana. He further said with the death of Mr. Bedi the SAD-BJP alliance had been deprived of a visionary leader with the qualities of head and heart who always stood like a rock with the leaders and workers of alliance besides the people in the hour of crisis. Mr. Badal said that in the death of former MLA, a void has been created within the political arena which was impossible to be filled in the near future.The Chief Minister expressed his heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved family members and prayed to the Almighty to give peace to the departed soul and strength to them to bear this irreparable loss.Meanwhile Deputy Chief Minister Mr. Sukhbir Singh Badal and Revenue, Information & Public Relations Minister Mr. Bikram Singh Majithia also mourned the death of Mr. Bedi and shared their heartfelt condolences with the family.
