4940 electricity connections metered in Leh, remaining tendered: Jora

The Minister for Urban Development and Urban Local Bodies, Nawang Rigzin Jora in reply to a Calling Attention Notice in Legislative Council moved by Nurboo Gialchan said that that the total number of registered electric connections under various categories of consumers in district Leh is 25,3256, out of which 4940 connections of LT Single Phase have already been metered. In order to provide meters to remaining 20,416 consumers, the department is already in a process of procuring meters for which the tenders have been floated, he said adding that Metering shall be completed after procurement of meters.
