Prime Minister Narendra Modi will pay rich tributes to Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev on their martyrdom day at Hussainiwala on March 23. Earlier, Modi was supposed to pay the tributes to the martyrs at Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh's native village Khatkar Kalan in Nawanshahr but on the request of the BJP Punjab President Sh. Kamal Sharma, the PM has agreed to visitHussainiwala.Kamal Sharma stated that the Prime Minister will reach Amritsar on March 23 morning from where he will reach Indo-Pak border Hussainiwala in Ferozepur via helicopter. PM will address the "Shrandhjali Samaroh" in the afternoon. While on his way return, Sh. Modi will pay obeisance at Golden Temple followed by Durgiana Temple. Before leaving for New Delhi, he would also visit Jalianwala Bagh as a mark of respect for the freedom fighters.

As per the previously chalked out programme, Sh. Modi was supposed to pay tributes to martyrs at Shaheed Bhagat Singh's native village Khatkar Kalan in Nawanshahr. But yesterday, Sh. Sharma through a letter brought to the notice of the PM that Hussainiwala is that historic place, where the last rites of the Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev were performed. Today, Samadhi's of the three legends are there in Hussainiwala, where a mela is held on March 23 every year. Apart from this, the place also has the Samadhi's of freedom fighter B.K.Dutt and mother of Shaheed Bhagat Singh. Sh. Sharma expressed to the PM that paying visit to Hussainiwala is relevant to which he accepted.
