The Legislative Assembly today passed two Government Bills.The L.A. Bill No. 16 of 2013 provides for the establishment of Dehi Adalats at the grassroots level for the purposes of providing access to justice to the citizens at their doorsteps and to ensure that opportunities for securing justice are not denied to any citizen by reason of social, economic or other disabilities and for matters connected there with or incidental thereto.A brief discussion was held on the Bill and the amendment moved by Ch. Zulfikar Hussain. The amendment was rejected by the House and Bill was passed with voice vote.

Legislators, Ch. Zulifkar Ali, Mr. Ashok Kumar, Mr. Harshdev Singh and Mr. Nizamu-ud-Din Bhat participated in the discussion.Another LA Bill No. 17 of 2013 to amend the Jammu and Kashmir Energy Conservation Act 2011 was also passed by the House with voice vote.Both these bills were moved by the Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah.
