Rs 14.65 lac proposed for road repairs in Jammu under SDRF: Mir Saifullah

Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah on behalf of R&B Minister informed the House that 26 roads were damaged due to heavy rains in Jammu West for which an amount of Rs. 14.65 lakhs has been proposed under State Disaster Relief Fund (SDRF) and out of which Rs. 7.33 lakhs has been released. The restoration work is in progress and the roads shall be restored fully by way of black topping in the current year, he said.The Minister was replying to a Calling Attention Notice by Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta in the Legislative Assembly today. He said rainfall this year has been excessive and incessant, which has resulted in road damages. The roads are being restored / maintained continuously and are trafficable, he said. The riding surface at some places is damaged and is being repaired / premixed, he dded.
