The Congress Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA’s) met today here at Jammu to discuss the prevailing political situation in the state. It was unanimously resolved that the party legislature left the party decision of the party’s role in the emerging situation to the party high command to rein in loose cannons in the party who by their uncalled for and unwarranted public statements create dissension and indiscipline in the party.The signatories to the statement include Nawang Rigzin, Ghulam Mohammad Saroori, Ajaz Ahmed Khan, Vikar Rasool Wani, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar, Usman Abdul Majid, Mohammad Amin Bhat, Asgar Ali Karbalaie, Deldan Namgail, Mumtaz Ahmed, Gulzar Ahmad Wani and Ch Mohd Akram. 

The legislators resolved unanimously that action taken against such leaders including expulsion from the party for their acts of discipline.The leader of Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Shri Ghulam Nabi Azad has already conveyed his displeasure and annoyance with such acts of indiscipline.Congress legislators fell that only authorized party spokesperson should be allowed to articulate party's views and policy announcements.
