Senior PDP leader and Member Parliament, Tariq Hameed Karra Thursday said he has fully utilized the Rs 2.50 crore MPLAD allocated to him for the first half of the financial year 2014-15.Responding to a news item published in Greater Kashmir on 15 January 2015, Karra, in a statement issued to KNS said, he has even made full advance allocation against various works for remaining Rs 2.50 crore MPLAD funds to be allocated to him for the second half of the fiscal 2014-15.Karra said most of the works which have been got executed by him through his MPLAD in Srinagar-Budgam constituency include upgradation of power infrastructure, installation of street lights and other similar works. He said it seems the reporter has taken some outdated information from the parliament website. “It would have been in the fitness of things if the reporter would have confirmed the details of MPLAD expenditure from the concerned District Development Commissioner,” he said.
