DG CRPF Prakash Mishra is on two day visit to Kashmir Valley. This is his maiden visit to valley after taking over the charge of D.G. CRPF on 22th December 2014. On 6th January a brief about the stock of situation in Kashmir Valley was given to him by Sh. K.S. Bhandari IGP CRPF Srinagar Sector. Later he visited the units deployed in north Kashmir Districts of Sopore and Kupwara. In the evening he had interaction with the CRPF & J & K Police officers of Srinagar. Today he visited the unit deployed in the downtown area of Srinagar he said in a statement issued to KNS.He interacted with the officer and men on the ground and appreciated the efforts of CRPF in containing militancy and effectively handling the law and order situation in the valley. He also appreciated all the officers and men for conducting successful assembly election in Jammu & Kashmir. He was accompanied by special D.G. J & K Zone Sh. R.C. Tayal, IGP (operations) Sh. Zulfiquar Hasan and Sh. K.S. Bhandari, IGP Srinagar Sector. (KNS)
