Dismayed that the outcome of elections was not upto her expectations, PDP president Mehbooba Mufti Tuesday said her party is not in hurry to form the next government in Jammu and Kashmir.Talking to reporters after the announcement of the results in 87 assembly segments of the state wherefrom PDP got 28 seats, Mehbooba said that the results which came to fore were not upto her expectations. She however said she is happy that her party has emerged as the single largest one in the state.

The PDP president also refused to comment whether her party would forge alliance with the BJP for the government formation in Jammu and Kashmir during the 12 assembly of the state.  “It is not a decisive mandate. It was not upto our expectations. We at the same time are not in hurry for the formation of the government. We are looking for a government which is based on an agenda. The agenda of good governance,” Mehbooba said. She added further that her party is exploring all the possibilities and will do its best  for the people of the state. “That government should be formed which is credible. It must be able to deliver on ground for the betterment of the people of the state.”
