People who are daydreaming of defeating Kashmiri freedom struggle and invading Kashmir through a manipulated election drama are actually living in a fool’s paradise. Indian prime ministers Kashmir visit is only to strengthen Indian occupation on Kashmir and a process of legitimizing farce elections in Kashmir. Kashmiris on 8th December 2014, by observing a complete protest shut down and strike will express their resistance against this Indian aggression, this was stated by the chairman of Jammu Kashmir liberation front (JKLF) Mohammad Yasin Malik in a message from Islamabad jail today.Yasin who was arrested in October 2014 and has been lodged at district jail Islamabad since then, said that Indian prime minister Narendera Modi is visiting Kashmir to actually invade it and strengthen illegal Indian occupation on it . Another purpose of this visit is to create a communal atmosphere in Kashmir, create fear psychosis among people about BJP’s coming to power, so that boycott is weakened and vote percentage enhanced .Also Modi’s visit is to give an institutionalized manipulations named elections, legitimacy.
Yasin said that all these nefarious designs make this visit as anti Kashmiri and a nation that has sacrificed its thousands in the way of freedom, cannot remain silent over such designs. Yasin Malik said that Kashmiris will protest against this anti Kashmiri and communal visit and a complete shutdown will be observed on 8th December 2014, Monday against this visit. Yasin Malik said that people who today are rejoicing over the so called election drama and who are intending to defeat Kashmiri freedom struggle through this theater, are actually living in a fool’s paradise. These daydreamers should know that a nation that has sacrificed over one lakh people, whose more than ten thousand people are missing in custody, whose thousands of sisters and daughters dishonored, where thousands of graves remain unmarked, whose thousands are bearing hardships in jails, whose father of nation Mohammad Maqbool Butt and Mohammad Afzal Guru kissed gallows, could not remain befooled for long. These agents of oppression must bear in mind that the history of world bears a witness to the fact that till date no freedom movement of any nation was defeated through oppression, tyranny, bribe, intimidations and institutionalized manipulations.
He said that the freedom struggle of Jammu Kashmir is legitimated struggle and it will surely and steadily achieve its desired goal. Yasin Malik said that today Jammu Kashmir has been turned into a military garrison and a big jail in the name of so called democratic elections. Rulers at the behest of their masters in Delhi have unleashed a reign of terror over the people in resistance, thousands have been put behind the bars, nocturnal raids, intimidation's , have become the order of the day and ironically after all these oppressive measures rulers and their authorities are boasting with pride on this one sided drama called elections. He said that election drama in Jammu Kashmir is a mere eye wash, fixed match and a one sided affair. These manipulated elections cannot deter people of Jammu Kashmir from perusing the path of freedom and resistance nor can this defeat a people’s freedom movement. While condemning the ongoing crackdown on JKLF and people of Kashmir, Yasin Malik said that young boys are being tortured, arrested, intimidated and a fear has been created among the masses by police and other forces. He said that these measures of oppression, tyranny, bribe, intimidations etc cannot defeat the valor of a nation. He said that it is better for Indian to learn a lesson as early as possible; and instead of unleashing reign of terror and exhibiting dramas like elections ,it should take positive steps towards resolving the long pending issue of Jammu Kashmir . He said without the resolution of Jammu Kashmir dispute, dreaming of peace, stability, progress etc in south Asia is like self befooling. India and Pakistan will have to accept the owner status of Kashmiris, include them in resolution process and find a solution to this dispute on priority basis, said Yasin Malik.
Meanwhile JKLF leaders and activists continued their election boycott campaign at various places today. Ateam led by district president Islamabad Mohammad Ishaaq Ganai visited areas of Bijbihara including Marham,Bonayaar,Wabngum,Gund Teeth,Katri Teng, another team led by Mohammad Ayub Naikoo visited Shupian areas Babapora, Zainapora etc and another team visited Budgam areas of Kremshura, Choon, Palpora, Wagar,Nagradkhah,Falchal,Parnewa and Kulabugh. These teams went door to door and apprised people about the ill consequences of elections and appealed those to boycott these farce elections.
