Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh Friday said government is taking firm steps to control infiltration from across the border.In a telephonic chat with Kashmir News Service (KNS) Singh said, “Our forces are alert and will never give any chance to the militants to infiltrate and besides the government of India have been taking firm steps against infiltration.”He vowed that militants would never ever succeed in their designs “as firm steps are being taken against them.” “I want to make it clear that our nation stands united against militancy. The militants would never ever succeed in their evil designs,” he said.

“I pay my tributes to the soldiers who sacrificed their lives in Arina Sector while fighting bravely against the militants to protect our motherland,” Singh told KNS and added that “I also pay my tributes to the civilians who lost their life.”It is to mention here that the encounter between the security forces and militants near the international border (IB) in Arnia sector of Jammu and Kashmir started on Thursday morning which ended with the killing of 11 people including four civilians, three soldiers and four militants.
