The Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Mir Saifullah today inaugurated 200 bedded District hospitals besides Ayush Hospital and OPD Block at Kupwara.The DDC, Kupwara, ADC, officers of Health and other department were also present on the occasion.On the occasion, the Minister was informed that 25867 were treated in OPD, 1894 patients in IPD while 169 major and 368 minor operations were conducted besides 5453 lab investigations were preformed. 794 USG, 1572 X-rays, 400 ECG were also done in CHC, Kupwara during the month of September 2014.
While inaugurating the Ayush hospital at Kupwara it was informed that the 10 bedded hospitals will provide service to the public of Kupwara and general OPD, Regimental Panchkarma facilities would be made available while 24 Ayush centres are functioning in the district.The Minister inspected various blocks of hospitals, nursing training school and to inquire about the facilities being provided to the people in these institutions.The Minister also visited various places in Kupwara constituency and inaugurated CD blocks, Nayabats, Tehsils offices there. He was accompanied by the MLA, Karnah, Kaiful Rehman, Ex-MLC, Nasir Ahmed Khan, Deputy Commissioner and other concerned officers.
