A group of 40 school children from Jammu and Kashmir called on the Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh here today. The children from Jammu Region are on a Bharat Darshan tour organised by the BSF under the National Integration Plan. Interacting with the children, Shri Rajnath Singh inspired them to set goals and make efforts to achieve them. The children enthusiastically shared their experiences with the Union Home Minister. He advised them to share the beauty and persified culture of India and help the country grow strong in a unified manner. 

The concept of Bharat Darshan Tours for the children from Jammu & Kashmir started from the year 2000. This tour is conducted to expose them to the historical, cultural and social people of the country and the progress made in industrial, technological and scientific fields and also to inculcate in them a sense of pride for the country. During the tours, they visit places of historic and cultural importance across different parts of India.
