Chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani held a meeting with the central officials of Tehreek-e-Hurriyat in which the relief distribution and collection process and present condition of the flood affected areas was thoroughly discussed. In this regard chairman Central Relief Committee Peer Saifullah, Altaf Ahmad Shah, Mohammad Yousuf Mujahid, Raja Mehraj-ud-din in-charge relief distribution and other members today morning took appraisal of the stock position and discussed the workings of the relief teams. The members although expressed their satisfaction over the relief distribution process of the relief teams but seeing the demand of the affected people they termed the available stock as insufficient and appealed all the economically sound people to donate for the displaced people of the state and get its benefit from almighty Allah in the life hereafter.

The chairman Central Relief Committee Peer Saifullah appealed the people to send their donations in Cash or Kind whatever shape, to the Biat-ul-mal of the Central Relief Committee. He also said that the desirous persons can also send their donations through the Bank account (A/c No.: 0385010100001231, Name: Syed Ali Shah Geelani, J&K Bank Hyderpora) or they can personally deposit at the Hyderpora office of the Tehreek-e-Hurriyat. On the direction of Geelani sahib, chairman Central Relief Committee Peer Saifullah formed different relief teams and sent them to the different affected areas of the Valley. 

A team led by Altaf Ahmad Shah who was accompanied by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Bandipora Rayees Ahmad Mir, secretary district Salman Yousuf and other district officials, distributed relief material in the many areas of Bandipora district including Shahgund Sonawari, Poshwari and Ganastan Sumbal while as another team led by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat district president Srinagar Raja Mehraj-ud-din visited Lal Mandi and Wazir Bagh areas and distributed ration kits and other relief material amoung the affected families. Another team led by Tehreek-e-Hurriyat Tehsil president Bijbehara  distributed hundreds of relief kits amoung the affected families of Halmullah Bijbehara, Pajtang, Sathir, Sadsu, Marhama and Shoultang areas.
