In a major crackdown against drug smugglers and suppliers Handwara Police arrested two persons in two separate incidents alongwith Charas.During a naka checking near Watayan one person Irshad Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Nabi Dar resident of Rakh Highgam, Sopore was arrested with Charas weighing about 700gm. He was travelling in a bus bearing registration number 8115-JK02K coming from Srinagar to Handwara. Police Handwara has registered a case FIR number 276/2014 under section 8/20 NDPS Act in this regard.
In another incident during a Naka laid by Handwara Police near Chotipora, recovered 01kg of Charas from the possession of Hilal Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Rehman Dar resident of Takyabal Chogal. Handwara Police has registered a case FIR number 277/2014 under section 8/20 NDPS Act in this regard.These persons were involved in such dealings from quite something, and regular complaints were received. Police Handwara swung into action and arrested these notorious drug peddlers with contraband. (KNS)
