Shah I Hamadan (RAH) taught us the lessons of God fearing, Self-respect, Self confidence, Self help etc. following these principles we can deal with the present worst situation created by the floods. Flood devastation has broken our economic back bone but the need of the hour is that our hearts should melt and we should turn to Allah Almighty for the betterment of our worldly life and hereafter. This was stated by the chairman JKLF Mohammad Yasin Malik while speaking to people at Khankah I Moaala Srinagar today. Yasin who was addressing people on the occasion of shah I Hamdan day, said Kashmiris respect, love and regard their sacred Ancestors, imams, saints and Godly person. We have always admired those God fearing saints who not only enriched us morally and spiritually but also taught us to strengthen our economy and livelihood. He said that despite having many lacks, errors and defects, we as a nation have never dispelled this love and affection from our hearts. He said that today flood has broken our economic back bone.
Thousands of houses have been destroyed, hundreds have been killed, property worth billions has been razed to ground and millions of our people are compelled to live under open sky. In these extraordinary situations we as a nation should introspect that why this pine wrath did has come down on us. Why did those bunds and banks turn as our ill fate which before flood where a symbol of our pride and progress. Why are our elite and downtrodden equally devastated and razed to grounds. Yasin said that for our present situation, natural and manmade errors may have been one factor but our running away from Allah, our Materialist lust, and distance from spiritual values is the main cause of this pine wrath on us. He said that times like these are like a warning for us and the upright people with kind hearts and soul take lesson from these hard days and repent before the almighty Allah and follow the teachings of our beloved prophet SAW. Yasin sahib said that today as a nation we all should collectively repent for the errors and sins we have committed and ask for Allah’s forgiveness and try to change our materialistic society into a spiritual society as it was in its glorious past .
Yasin Malik said that today we are remembering our great leader and Peer who taught us to be upright, sincere, God fearing, self-respecting, self confident, self helping and by following his sacred teachings we could overcome present difficulties and hardships and our daily life and hereafter could become better. Yasin said that today great flood has broken the back bone of our economy but the need of the hour is that this should actually melt down our hearts and make us much more humble and God fearing. Yasin sahib also praised the efforts of youth who worked with passion to save thousands of lives and are constantly working for the welfare of those devastated by floods. He stressed upon the need of continuing these efforts till every affected is rehabilitated. On the occasion, cutting short his speech, Yasin Malik appealed the Imam Sahib of Khankah Moaala to lead special Repentance prayers. Heart offending scenes were witnessed during the prayers. (KNS)
