Shiromani Akali Dal President and Deputy Chief Minister Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal today said Parkash Singh Badal and Om Parkash Chautala always fulfilled their promises whereas the Congress always eliminated the poor after gaining their votes on the promise of poverty eradication.Addressing a rally here at grain market in favour of SAD-INLD alliance candidate Mr. Balkaur Singh Kalanwali , Mr. Badal said people of Haryana were confident that Mr. Chautala would fulfill all the promises made in the manifesto of Indian National Lok Dal as they were still enjoying the schemes and policies initiated by Chaudhary Devi Lal and Mr. Om Parkash Chautala governments. “Similarly in Punjab, Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal ensures that the government fulfils all promises despite facing many economic pressures”, he added.Lashing out at the Haryana government for ignoring the overall development of the State, Mr. Badal said for Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda Haryana started and ended in Rohtak alone. He said the Congress government had created a development gap between few cities and rest of Haryana.
Badal said the Congress leadership lacked the decision power and they could not even breathe without prior permission from the Gandhi family. “This attitude of Congress leadership resulted in a lack of decision making which has proved dear to the people of Haryana. Mr. Chautala need not to take permissions from any boss so he would ensure speedy development of the state”, said Mr. Badal.Launching a frontal attack on Gandhi family, Mr. Badal said the Congress leadership under the leadership of this family fooled the people for decades. He said that Congress launched the slogan of ‘Garibi Hatao’ (Eradicate Poverty) and after gaining votes adopted ‘Garib Hato’ (Eliminate the poor) policies.
Badal said the Congress worked on pide and rule policy to rule the nation for more than 65 years but now the real face of the party was fully exposed.Remembering the struggle of Chaudhary Devi Lal, Mr. Badal said he always fought for the cause of people. He said Mr. Devi Lal and Mr. Parkash singh Badal fought many fights together to safeguard the rights of farmers and common people.Mr. Badal said that Congress was so hell bent to stay in power that it used its power and agencies like CBI to put Mr. Chautala behind bars. He said Mr. Chautala always fought the battle of common people and Congress attempted to put full stop on this struggle by designing conspiracies against Chautala family. Mr. Badal said that now it was matter of just 15 days as a strong wave was blowing in favour of SAD-INLD alliance.
