Jammu and Kashmir Salvation Movement today organized a free medical camp outside party headquarters in Chanpora High Way, Srinagar for flood affected population. Doctors who voluntarily examined the flood affected patients, distributed free medicines among and were provided necessary knowledge about the water born diseases.Apart from medicines, party distributed eatables food items and clothes among the flood victims. On the occasion, Party Chairman Zaffer Akbar Bhat appealed international community to aid the flood affectees of Jammu and Kashmir on humanitarian grounds as the state resources were too meager to meet the challenge of rehabilitating flood victims.

He said that flood has devastated thousands of residential houses in Kashmir and besides it has left thousands unlivable. Zaffer said that harsh season of the state that is winter is approaching and if before it homeless flood victims were not provided any help then it could bring another disaster which could claim the lives of hundreds and thousands. He said that our business sector, agriculture, horticulture and tourism sector of the state has too received a setback due to floods so without help from international community state can’t came out from debris of this destruction caused by the floods.

Zaffer said that state government has failed even after the passage of 21 days to de-water the submerged areas of the city.  He termed it deliberate attempt on behalf of the puppet government and said that on the directions of New Delhi puppet rulers were through the Kashmiri nation into starvation.He demanded immediate de-watering of submerged areas of city and appealed international community, OIC to help Kashmiri people in controlling the water born diseases as the flood affected Kashmiri people fears outbreak of diseases due to its lodging in the city from past over three weeks now.Zaffer also appealed its party men and activists to continue their efforts for helping the flood affected population.Meanwhile, Zaffer Akbar Bhat paid rich tributes to eng Gh Qadir Sofi and Mohd Ayoub sheikh @Irfan on their sad demise, both freedom lover and hence has played a vital role in the ongoing freedom struggle. Zaffer expressed sympathy and solidarity with their family.(KNS)
