The district administration Rajouri today facilitated the virtual interaction of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with participants of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme from the Conference Hall of the PWD Dak Bungalow, Rajouri.

The programme was attended by Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma; Additional District Development Commissioner, Malikzada Sheraz Ul Haq; Additional Deputy Commissioner Ravi Kumar Sihag; Assistant Commissioner Panchayat, Mohd Rafeeq; District Youth Officer, MY Bharat, Akhil Arya along with other district officers.

During the interaction, the Prime Minister engaged with participants from across the country who had earned the opportunity to visit the Vibrant Villages of Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand after excelling in the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme Quiz. Participants from different parts of India shared their experiences and insights gained during their visits to the border villages.

The interaction provided a platform for participants to reflect on their learnings and reaffirm their commitment towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047.Addressing the participants, the Prime Minister highlighted the significance of strengthening the connection between citizens and India's border villages. He emphasised that these villages are symbols of the nation's cultural heritage, resilience and strategic importance.

He also called upon educational institutions across the country to organise educational tours to Vibrant Villages and other border areas so that students can better understand their rich traditions, developmental progress and vital role in national security, while fostering a deeper sense of patriotism and national integration.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner said that the district administration remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote awareness about border areas and encourage greater public participation in nation-building efforts. He noted that programmes such as the Viksit Vibrant Village initiative play a vital role in showcasing the immense potential of border villages and integrating them into the country's development journey.

The programme concluded with the district officers reaffirming their commitment to advancing the objectives of the Viksit Vibrant Village Programme and extending full support to initiatives aimed at the holistic and sustainable development of border areas.
