On the occasion of Doctors’ Day, Health and Medical Education, Social Welfare and Education, Minister Sakeena Itoo visited Children Hospital Bemina to extend her greetings and appreciation to the medical fraternity for their unwavering commitment to patient care and public health.

Interacting with doctors, healthcare professionals and hospital staff, the Minister lauded their dedication, compassion and tireless service, particularly in providing quality healthcare to children. She described doctors as the ‘pride of society’ and acknowledged their invaluable contribution to safeguarding lives and strengthening the healthcare system.

“Doctors serve humanity with unmatched commitment and compassion. Their selfless service, professionalism and resilience make them the pride of our society. On this Doctors’ Day, I extend my heartfelt gratitude and best wishes to every member of the medical fraternity,” the Minister said.

Sakeena Itoo said that doctors play a very responsible role in the society and their contribution cannot be measured in words. She highlighted apart from doctors, public also has very responsive role in the society. During her visit, Sakeena Itoo also interacted with patients and their attendants, enquiring about the healthcare services being provided at the hospital.

She directed the hospital administration to ensure the highest standards of patient care, timely medical attention and a patient-friendly environment. The Minister emphasized that the government remains committed to strengthening healthcare infrastructure, improving medical facilities and supporting healthcare professionals in delivering efficient and accessible services across Jammu and Kashmir.
