Governor Kavinder Gupta today visited the renowned Mata Tara Devi Temple in Shimla and offered prayers for the peace, prosperity, happiness and well-being of the people of Himachal Pradesh. Lady Governor Bindu Gupta accompanied him during the visit. The Governor paid obeisance at the sacred shrine and sought the blessings of Maa Tara Devi for the continued progress, harmony and prosperity of the State.
He also prayed for the welfare of all citizens and for strengthening the spirit of unity, compassion and social harmony in society. Located atop a picturesque hill overlooking Shimla, the historic Tara Devi Temple is one of the most revered religious sites in the region and attracts devotees from across the country.
The Governor appreciated the serene spiritual atmosphere of the temple and highlighted the importance of preserving the rich cultural and religious heritage of the state. On the occasion, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Shimla Rural, Manjeet Sharma welcomed the Governor.
The visit reflected the Governor’s deep regard for the spiritual traditions and cultural heritage of Himachal Pradesh and his commitment to promoting values of faith, harmony and collective well-being. Senior officials of the district administration, temple authorities and devotees were also present on the occasion.
