The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) received a major organizational boost in Shri Hargobindpur Sahib and Pathankot on Monday as Shri Hargobindpur Municipal Committee President Navdeep Singh Pannu, along with several sitting Municipal Councillors (MCs), former councillors and prominent Congress leaders from Pathankot, joined the party in the presence of AAP Punjab President Aman Arora and Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak.

Welcoming the leaders into the party fold, Aman Arora said that AAP continues to attract elected representatives and grassroots leaders because of the pro-people policies and development-oriented governance being delivered by the Bhagwant Mann-led government.

He said that leaders who had served as strong pillars of the Congress in their respective areas have now decided to join AAP after being impressed by the work of the Punjab Government and the vision of AAP National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal. Arora expressed confidence that their joining would further strengthen the party at the grassroots level and help carry forward the mission of building a prosperous and vibrant Punjab.

Among those who joined AAP from Shri Hargobindpur were Municipal Committee President and Ward No. 2 MC Navdeep Singh Pannu, Ward No. 1 MC Manjit Kaur Pannu, Ward No. 3 MC Balwinder Kaur, Ward No. 5 MC Jivan Jotika, Ward No. 6 MC Jaswinder Kaur, Ward No. 8 MC Kulwant Singh, Ward No. 10 MC Harjinder Kaur and Ward No. 11 MC Parminder Kaur.

From Pathankot, former Zila Parishad Member Rohit Sharma, who has also served as District President of NSUI Pathankot and General Secretary of Punjab NSUI, joined the party along with Danish Mahajan, Rakesh, Paramjit Singh and Parvesh. Speaking on the occasion, Cabinet Minister Lal Chand Kataruchak said that the growing support for AAP across Punjab is a result of the good governance provided by the Bhagwant Mann government.

He said that under the leadership of Arvind Kejriwal, AAP has filled a long-standing gap in politics by focusing on honest governance and public welfare. Kataruchak said that people from all sections of society, especially youth and grassroots leaders, are joining AAP because they see the party as a platform committed to serving the people.

He added that leaders like Navdeep Singh Pannu and Rohit Sharma have a strong public connect and their experience will further strengthen the party organization. Thanking the party leadership, Navdeep Singh Pannu said that he and his team had joined AAP after being impressed by the work being done by the Bhagwant Mann government for the welfare of the people.
