District Administration Kulgam today organized a grand Felicitation Ceremony at the Auditorium Hall, Kulgam, to honour the winners and outstanding participants of various competitions conducted under the aegis of the 100-Day Special Campaign against Drug Abuse under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan (NMBA).

The event celebrated the achievements of students and youth who participated in district-level competitions held across schools, blocks and municipal areas, including Essay Writing, Painting, Speech and Slogan Writing Competitions, as well as Sports Tournaments, Marathon Events and the District Ideathon.

The competitions witnessed enthusiastic participation from thousands of students and youth across the district and served as a powerful medium to spread awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse while promoting creativity, healthy lifestyles, sportsmanship and community engagement.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, Shahzad Alam, congratulated all the winners and participants for their remarkable performances and appreciated their contribution towards strengthening the movement for a drug-free society.

He emphasized that the fight against drug abuse requires active participation of youth, educational institutions, parents and civil society and highlighted that such initiatives help channelize the energy and talent of young people towards constructive pursuits.

The Deputy Commissioner further stated that the District Administration remains committed to creating platforms for youth engagement through sports, innovation, cultural activities and awareness programmes. He urged the youth to become ambassadors of the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan and play an active role in spreading the message of a healthy, drug-free and progressive society.
