On the occasion of the Martyrs' Day of Guru Arjun Dev Ji, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Srinagar, Akshay Labroo, on Tuesday visited Gurdwara Shaheed Bunga at Barzulla Baghat to pay obeisance and participate in the religious observances held to commemorate the sacrifice of the fifth Sikh Guru.

During his visit, the DC interacted with members of the Sikh community, Gurdwara management and devotees present on the occasion. He conveyed his heartfelt message to the Sikh community and emphasized the enduring relevance of the teachings of Guru Arjan Dev Ji, which continue to inspire generations to uphold the principles of brotherhood, humility, social justice and communal harmony.

Meanwhile, District Administration Srinagar had made elaborate arrangements on the occasion to facilitate devotees and ensure smooth and seamless observance of the event. Necessary arrangements pertaining to sanitation, drinking water, traffic regulation, parking management, fire safety measures and other essential services were put in place to enable devotees to participate in the religious congregation without any inconvenience.
