Lovely Professional University (LPU) conducted an intensive six week Faculty Induction Program (FIP) on the Application of Artificial Intelligence in Teaching and Research, reiterating its commitment to building an AI enabled academic ecosystem where innovation and education evolve together. The pioneering initiative was organised by LPU’s Human Resource Development Center in collaboration with TalentGro Global, the pioneering initiative brought together 50 faculty members from diverse disciplines for advanced hands on training in artificial intelligence tools, academic automation, digital productivity, and future ready pedagogical practices.
At a time when institutions across the world are still adapting to the AI wave, LPU is actively integrating AI into the very fabric of teaching, research, and academic delivery through its transformative EduRevolution initiative. The university’s vision positions artificial intelligence not as an external technological disruption, but as an empowering academic companion capable of enhancing creativity, efficiency, research capability, and student engagement.
The Faculty Induction Program explored an extensive range of contemporary AI applications relevant to academia. Participants received experiential training in AI assisted teaching methodologies, ethical and policy dimensions of AI adoption, content generation, workflow automation, research productivity systems, and AI enabled classroom interactivity.
Faculty members engaged deeply with globally relevant tools and platforms including ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, GitHub Copilot, NotebookLM, Magic School, HeyGen, InVideo, Miro AI, Notion AI, Zapier, N8N, Vercel, Todoist AI, Freepik AI and several others shaping the future of education and research globally. Designed as a practice oriented and immersive learning experience, the sessions enabled educators to apply AI tools in real time academic contexts ranging from lecture design and assessment creation to research workflows, academic communication, gamification, and student engagement strategies.
The initiative culminated in a project showcase where faculty members presented AI integrated teaching and research models developed during the program, reflecting the practical impact of the training. Dr. Loviraj Gupta, Pro Vice-Chancellor of LPU stated, “At LPU, we believe that is the foundation of quality education.
