The School of Fashion Design at Lovely Professional University (LPU)  once again demonstrated its commitment to innovation, creativity, and industry driven fashion education through ECLAT ELEVE 16.0, the grand graduating showcase of final year students. The event highlighted the artistic vision, technical expertise, and contemporary design sensibilities nurtured through LPU’s fashion programmes.

The runway presentation featured a diverse range of collections inspired by themes such as resilience, sustainability, heritage, identity, and transformation. Through sequences including Threads of Resilience, Roots Reimagined, Echoes of Heritage, and Realms of Transformation, students presented compelling fashion narratives that blended cultural inspiration with futuristic aesthetics and experimental storytelling.

Renowned Indian costume designer Anju Modi (Known for blockbuster movies such as Baji Rao Mastani ,Ramleela) graced the occasion and applauded the creativity, confidence, and professional understanding demonstrated by the budding designers. She appreciated LPU’s strong industry integrated academic approach, advanced infrastructure, and the practical learning ecosystem provided to aspiring fashion professionals.

During her visit, Ms. Modi also conducted an engaging workshop and masterclass focusing on garment storytelling, craftsmanship, detailing, and emerging global fashion trends. Speaking on the occasion, Col. Dr. Rashmi Mittal emphasized that the fashion industry today demands professionals who can seamlessly combine creativity with technical expertise, innovation, and market understanding.

She highlighted that experiential learning, industry exposure, and real world engagement remain central to LPU’s educational philosophy. The event also reflected LPU’s broader EduRevolution vision, where students gain extensive exposure through live projects, internships, freelancing assignments, and collaborations with industry and brands.

Under this progressive framework, students receive academic credits for impactful industry work and innovative projects. Further strengthening its position as a leading destination for fashion education, the School of Fashion Design has introduced two new industry oriented programmes: a 2-Year Master’s in Fashion Management and a 4-Year Bachelor’s in Fashion Technology.

These programmes are designed to bridge fashion with management, merchandising, manufacturing, engineering, production, marketing, and retail, preparing students for evolving opportunities in the global fashion ecosystem. These newly launched programmes complement LPU’s already established offerings, including B.Design (Fashion Design) and M.Sc. (Fashion Design), which continue to nurture creative talent through a strong blend of design innovation, technical learning, and industry engagement.

With admissions now open for the academic session 2026 27, LPU continues to emerge as a preferred destination for students seeking future-ready, practical, and globally relevant education in fashion, design, and creative industries.
