The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) received a major boost in Ward No. 1 when Jaspal Singh Taan, son of former SGPC member Giani Jaswant Singh Taan, left the Shiromani Akali Dal and joined the BJP along with a large number of his supporters.
On this occasion, senior BJP leader and State Treasurer Sukhwinder Singh Goldy and Ranjit Singh Gill welcomed them into the party. They stated that, inspired by the public service and leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, many people are joining the BJP in order to safeguard Punjab and Punjabi culture.
They further said that the people of Punjab are prepared to form a BJP government in 2027. Sukhwinder Singh Goldy welcomed all the new members into the BJP family and assured them of full respect and recognition within the party.On this occasion, Khushwant Rai Giga said that the upcoming Municipal Council in Kharar is likely to be formed by the BJP.
Among those present were Kamaldeep Saini, Narendra Rana, Charanjit Singh Kalewal, Mandal President Kush Rajput, Indu Sharma, Mahila Morcha President Muskan, Gopal Krishna Ladi, Roshan Lal Kakkar, Jagtar Singh, Dalbagh Singh, and many other supporters.
