Member of Legislative Assembly and senior BJP leader, Yudhvir Sethi on Thursday held a public Darbar at the BJP Office Kachi Chawni to listen to the grievances and concerns of people from different areas of Jammu East constituency. 

Yudvir Sethi was accompanied by Raman Sharma Spokesperson, Savita Anand BJP Mahila Morcha District President Jammu, Shiv Sharma President Bajalta Mandal, Adarsh Kumar Jathiar President Jammu East Mandal, Shobha Rani ex-Sarpanch, Asha and Anita Sharma. 

A large number of residents, including youth, senior citizens, traders, and women, attended the public interaction and raised issues related to civic amenities, infrastructure, water supply, power cuts, sanitation, and developmental works in their respective localities.

During the darbar, Yudhvir Sethi patiently heard the grievances of the people and assured them that all genuine issues would be taken up with the concerned departments on priority. He emphasized that public welfare and development remain the foremost priorities and said that regular interaction with people is essential to understand ground-level problems and ensure timely solutions.

Yudhvir Sethi said, “The objective of organizing public darbars is to maintain direct communication with the people and address their concerns in an effective manner. Every issue raised by the public is important, and sincere efforts are being made to resolve them through coordination with the administration and concerned departments.”

He further stated that the government is committed to strengthening basic infrastructure and improving public services in Jammu East constituency. “Development should reach every locality without discrimination. We are continuously working to improve roads, drainage systems, sanitation facilities, drinking water supply, and power infrastructure so that people do not face unnecessary hardships,” he added.

Several deputations and individuals submitted representations regarding pending developmental works, maintenance of lanes and drains, installation of streetlights, traffic management, and upgradation of civic facilities. Sethi directed officials and party functionaries present on the occasion to take immediate note of urgent matters and ensure prompt follow-up with the concerned authorities.

Highlighting the importance of public participation in governance, Yudhvir Sethi said that elected representatives must remain accessible to the people and work towards resolving their problems with dedication and accountability. He reiterated that such public interactions would continue regularly to strengthen the connection between the administration and the people.

The residents appreciated the initiative of holding a public darbar and expressed hope that their issues would be resolved at the earliest. Many participants said that direct interaction with the MLA provides them an opportunity to place their concerns before the authorities and seek quicker redressal of civic and developmental problems.

The public darbar concluded with assurances from Yudhvir Sethi that all genuine demands of the people would be pursued actively to ensure better civic amenities and improved quality of life for residents of Jammu East constituency.
