Union Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu, while addressing a press conference in the presence of BJP Punjab State Media Head Vineet Joshi, challenged Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann to immediately register a case against the Bharatiya Janata Party if he possesses any evidence, otherwise apologise to the people of Punjab and the BJP.

Ravneet Singh Bittu said that after “Operation Sindoor,” the entire nation stood united in patriotism and respect for the Tricolour, but during such a sensitive time, the allegations levelled by the Chief Minister against the BJP over the bomb blasts in Punjab are extremely serious and unfortunate.

He stated that Punjab Police DGP Gaurav Yadav himself has said that the ISI is actively working to destabilise Punjab, while on the other hand the Chief Minister is busy maligning the BJP without any evidence. Bittu said that BJP offices and leaders have previously been targeted as well.

Referring to the grenade attack at the residence of senior BJP leader Manoranjan Kalia in Jalandhar, he questioned what action has been taken so far in the matter and why the accused have not yet been arrested. He said that BJP leaders and workers are patriots and are being targeted by anti-national forces.

Issuing an open challenge to the Chief Minister, he said, “If you have the courage, register cases against BJP leaders and workers, place the evidence before the media and send the police to BJP offices. Otherwise, publicly apologise for your statements.”

Ravneet Singh Bittu alleged that the law and order situation in Punjab has been continuously deteriorating. He said that after the murder of Sidhu Moosewala, not a single month or week has passed in Punjab without incidents of murder, gang wars, or explosions.

Despite this, the government is resorting to political blame games to hide its failures. He further stated that there is a conspiracy underway to disturb the atmosphere in Punjab by bringing together ISI operatives, gangsters, and Khalistani elements, and at such a time all political parties and security agencies should unite to protect peace and harmony in the state.

Bittu said that irresponsible statements by the Chief Minister on such sensitive matters are against the interests of Punjab. He added that if the Chief Minister neither apologises for his statement nor presents any evidence, the BJP will pursue the matter legally and will also approach the courts.

On this occasion, BJP Punjab State Media Head Vineet Joshi said that the Aam Aadmi Party government is making false and baseless allegations to divert attention from the real issues facing Punjab, but the people of Punjab now clearly understand the failures of the government.
